19 Days until trip #1 2007!!!
My family and I are going to San Diego and Disneyland in less than a month, then my friends and I are headed to Mexico!!
I really hate flying, I always end up sitting next to some fat guy with sweaty elbows, greasy hair and an itchy butt...not cool. When I flew back from New Orleans, I was sitting beside Chris, he definalty wasn't fat and sweaty, but to be honest, he still wasn't the greatest companion...still drunk from the final French Quarter night before, he made a few trips to the airplane's compact bathroom for an expulsion or two.
I know that Greg and I are sitting together to Mexico, because Geoff and Dave are on another flight, which is OK because Greg is small, and normally doesn't smell bad...not that I sniff him or anything, LOL! But I'm glad he's a smaller guy, I won't have to battle for elbow room!! Unless he reads this blog and decides he's going to fight me for it out of spite...wouldn't put it past him!! :P
I have no idea who I'm sitting with on the flights to and from San Diego, I'm travelling with my mom, sister, brother in law, and niece. I'm hoping that I get to sit with kayley (my niece) because she and I can have some cool fun while we're flying. I have tons of games that I can play with her to take her mind off of flying. Besides the fact that she's only four years old, so another elbow battle that I'll win by default! But, I'll probably end up sitting with my mom so that Tammy, Pat and Kayley can all sit together. And that's OK too, because mom doesn't like the window seat! :)
I'm still trying to prepare myself for the next flight. Things have definalty gone odd since the last time I flew...now I can't even pack backup toothpaste in my carry on! Stupid terrorists. Let's just make everyone's lives miserable becauase we all believe in the same thing but practise it differently...great idea...morons. Now I'm going to get to San Diego and they won't carry my brand of toothpaste in San Diego, and I'll have to spend $18.00 on a toothpaste tube that has the likeness of Donald Duck on it just so I can go out in public without frightening children with my smile. Stupid terrorists.
I really should take a look at the forecast for my trips so that I'm packing the right type of clothes...when I went to New Orleans, I overpacked so much!! I actually was crazy enough to bring a sweater!!! Ya...not doing that again, it took away from stuff that I could buy because I ran out of room!!!
Ah..oh well. I can always run around Disneyland naked...they don't still arrest people for that do they?

Budding Enterprise Indeed!!
I realize that many women out there will be outraged at our feminine "chicken fighting" scheme, but I really don't care. If there are still women out there making a living at stripping in clubs and selling themselves on the street, I can't wait to see what they do in a ring! I mean, I've seen many a cat fight at the bars and clubs that I attend, and these women could be animals during a real fight!
Of course, we would have to have training camps and ensure that all of the ladie's involved are aware of the risks that they will be accepting if they accept employment with the AK'ing Tournament. And of course, that all of the lovely ladies are in prime physical condition to compete. No one wants to see Bessy the sumo wrestler in a bra and panty set...well, OK there are men out there that like that...
Of course, we will have to contact a lawyer to ensure that we will be holding a legal business license, and always have first aid on the scene...but that's really secondary to this creative and fun idea...
Soon, we will introduce our championship trophy, which may, or may not have a beautifully sculped naked woman in a kicking pose...but I won't give away our secrets now...apparently the belt is taken...OK, now I'm just rambling...GINSU!!!
Move over WWE Raw, the AK is coming in, and you will watch as we rise in popularity and gain new viewers and fighters each week!

An idea was sparked as Amelia, Geoff and I watched the continuous choreographed violence at the film "The Protector" yesterday. That is one funny movie. I don't think it was meant to be, but the constant violence blended with the constant sound of bones breaking and the "hero" (the guy from Ong Bak) yelling "You took my elephants!" was enough to make Amelia and I crack up through the entire film.
Amelia and I are going to learn martial arts and make some extra cash on the weekends by holding fight matches in lingerie. Who knows, this brilliant idea may become our full time job. Athough, I can't speak for Amelia, but I think one fight per week is more than enough for me...I mean, I'm too pretty to bruise!! I know many men that would pay large sums of money to watch two hot chicks round house kick and jab around wearing nothing but a flimsy nightie. Of course, to make it more interesting, Amelia and I would have to learn different martial arts so that we aren't using the same moves. (I vote Amelia learns "Monkey Fighting" and I'll go with "Bonesnapper")
I mean, come on!! This would be a brilliant scheme to part stupid men from their money! (Marrying them works too I suppose, but this is more fun!) We could hold auditions for more hot chicks so that Amelia and I could take a few nights off from beating the snot out of each other, and eventually, move up to just holding and managing the tournaments, and not actually competing. Realistically, I think that I would enjoy watching much more than fighting...
If we were to go ahead with this plan, there would have to be some fight rules:
1) No biting (unless you are a monkey fighter, in which case you kind of have to)
2) No scratching (all fingernails will be cut to reduce "accidental" marring facial cuts)
3) Cussing is welcomed and encouraged, however, keep family out of it.
4) No hitting while opponent is down or not facing you, will result in immediate disqualification and suspension from a pre-determined number of events.
5) Only pre-approved attire is allowed. These will include, but are not limited to: matching bra and pantie sets, corset sets, school girl or nurses outfits, bra and chaps, and the occasional full nudity.
6) No stilettos. We want repeat fighters with all limbs unpunctured. Barefeet or ballerina slippers only (slippers are encouraged as they look really cool and sexy)
7) You will be required to fight in the occasional exhibition Jell-O or mud match
8) Hair is allowed to be used as a weapon
9) No studs, spikes, brass knuckles, or any other type of hitting enhancement
10) Other regulations will be introduced as the tournaments continue to provide safety and legal coverage for all involved.
I think we'll call it "Ladies' AK'ing Tournaments"
What do you think of our idea? Any thoughts, want to audition? Post me!!!

Geoff and I went to his best friend's wedding on Saturday, and I was constantly bombarded with the usual "so when are you two getting married?" question. My response was pretty standard...we're not really ready, and we won't force each other into something that makes us uncomfortable. But, due to my lightning fast reflexes, I caught the bouquet anyways :P
I'm not saying I don't want to marry Geoff. But at this point, we both have too much freedom. Not saying of course that we would lose freedom once we get married, but people do tend to lose a bit of their independance when they sign the marriage contract. I don't ever want to feel like I'm not in control of my life. And I don't want to try to control Geoff either.
We are different people, we react differently, shop differently, and we don't always understand each other. I wouldn't change him for anything, because I'm with him because of who he is, not who he could be.
My family may be against the idea, but I seriously think that the wedding day is a bit of a sham. It costs thousands of dollars to everyone involved...all for one day. If I had a choice, I would have a very private ceremony (immediate family and two or three very close friends) and then have a huge party afterwards, where no one had to try to dress up. Very casual, very fun.
I do want to marry Geoff, but to spend a years salary on a single day seems rather...obtuse...
I have been to some extravagent and expensive weddings, but I have always been more moved by the smaller weddings where there is more heart than wallet.
